Reyna set to complete loan move from DortmundWill join Nottingham Forest on a six-month loanWill fly to England after Sevilla talks broke downGettyWHAT HAPPENED?
The midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Dortmund under Edin Terzic as he has been relegated to a substitute role, only seeing a few minutes of playing time in each match, if any. As per Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian, the 21-year-old is set to fly to England to complete the move after talks with the La Liga side broke down.

Speaking to the media recently, the Borussia Dortmund coach said: "Gio is a fantastic player. Of course, he’s not happy when he’s not playing. You could see that Gio is capable of influencing the game from the bench. He was very confident on the ball, managed to create a few dangerous situations, but was a bit unlucky with his finishing in one or two situations."
The Dortmund boss then elaborated that he hopes that Reyna stays, and is available to him for the rest of the season. "I haven’t heard anything else. Gio is under contract, Gio is our player."

Due to Terzic's refusal to acknowledge the possibility that the USMNT star could leave the club on loan, it had seemed that the club might not be willing to let Reyna leave on loan in January. However, the move is now very close to completion with the deadline fast approaching. There had also been earlier reports that apart from Sevilla, Fiorentina and Marseille were also looking to sign Reyna on loan.
WHAT NEXT FOR REYNA?
The transfer window in England is set to close at 11 pm GMT on February 1 and Forest will have to complete all documentation and signings by that period if they want to make sure the deal does not collapse. The 21-year-old is reportedly going to fly to Nottingham later today.
